Part B: Item Types
Math problems may be presented in many different ways. Recognizing the type of problem may help you find a strategy for choosing your response. Read each example and then complete the activity that follows.
Multiple Choice
A multiple-choice item asks you to choose an answer from among the four choices given. These are usually labeled A, B, C, and D. For multiple choice questions, these strategies are often helpful: Use Process of Elimination, and Test the Answer Choices.
