Math Skills and Strategies provides an introduction to the skills and strategies essential to improving math problem-solving.
Math Skills and Strategies features three distinct units:
Unit 1 provides detailed explanations of skills, strategies, question types, and types of math problems. Each section of the unit includes activities
to help students learn, practice, and master the lessons taught in the unit.
Unit 2 provides Modeled Instruction and Guided Practice. Modeled Instruction items walk students through the process of finding
the correct response by identifying the appropriate skill and strategy. Guided Instruction items identify the skill, and
